I am a self taught artist living and working in beautiful Norfolk. Having grown up with a love of animals and the countryside and with the desire to draw and paint at an early age it was easy to decide the career I wanted to follow, therefore painting wildlife and domestic animals seemed the natural choice. I have been painting mainly commissioned work for in excess of 30 years, but turned professional 7 years ago. A favourite subject of mine is the hare and fortunately there is now an abundance of them to watch and photograph in the fields next to my home.
I work in soft pastel and pastel pencil as well as oil and my paintings and commissioned animal portraits are in many private homes and collections throughout Britain, with clients as far afield as Japan and America. I also sell prints and greetings cards countrywide.
Over a period of years my originals and prints have sold regularly at The Holkham Gallery, Norfolk and also at the Natural World Art Exhibitions. As a member of The Wildlife Art Society International I exhibit at their annual exhibition at Nature in Art, Twigworth, Gloucester. I also exhibit and sell my originals, prints and cards at game and country shows and fairs.
In 2007 and 2009 I successfully took part in the Norfolk Open Studios with the number of visitors way above my expectations.
I happily accept commissions, just contact me to discuss your individual requirements and also for prices.
